Slingley

Site type: Doubtful

There is no clear evidence for the settlement but gaps in the ridge and furrow around the farm may indicate the location of houses. There is very little information about this settlement to judge any indication of the size of the settlement. The MVRG archive questions this site with the lack of evidence and suggests its removal from the list. This has therefore been classed as doubtful. [1]

Appears in the Gazetteer of Deserted Medieval Villages known in 1968.
